My name is Yuko Yamaguchi. I am one of the designers of Hello Kitty.

I won the company’s competition and became the ___(three) designer in January, 1980. Hello Kitty _______(not have) a mouth, so people who look at her can give their own feelings onto her face because she has an expressionless face.  Hello Kitty _________(look) happy or sad when people are happy or sad.
Through Hello Kitty, which is a symbol of friendship, we can all be friends. I want her to be a character that encourages people ______(become) friends. I want her to be a link between all people around the world.
Now, the number of male and female fans _______(increase). I believe in ten  ______(year) time, everybody around the world _______(know) her. Also, Men who dislike to be seen with Kitty in public today might be wearing Hello Kitty boxing gloves. And  they will stop being shy and will show off Kitty _________(proud).
