Last Friday a storm swept through two villages in the New Territories(新界), destroying fourteen homes. Chinese writer Mo Yan has won the 2012 Nobel Prize in Literature, announced Peter, the Secretary of the Swedish Academy in Stockholm on Thursday. The awarding ceremony will be held on December 10. Mo Yan was born in 1955 and grew up in Gaomi in Shandong province in eastern China.
