Around the world there is an increase in the demand for reforestation. This is because the consumption of the forests has affected not only the animals living in the area but also the people. And reforestation is about the rebuilding of the forests that have been severely destroyed. It can offer a lot of benefits when the recreation is successful.
This includes collecting seedlings(幼苗) that are native in the area to make sure that there is a natural reconstruction of the area. Some additional trees which are not native in the area also need to be planted. The importance of having multiple species of trees is considered to make sure that the needs of other species that will live and grow in the area are met.
Destroying a forest is easy but rebuilding it is really hard. The plan must include accurate spacing on plants and trees. This is to ensure that they won’t cover each other while they grow.
The forest greatly helps in the reduction of the air pollution. Trees are responsible for the production of oxygen and absorption of carbon dioxide. It is there for a reason just like everyone else on this planet.
There cannot be a better way to restore the balance of nature than to increase the forest area. We must remember that the forest is a natural habitat of wide variety of animals and plants. In this manner, there is no substitute for reforestation.

.
A. When a child should learn to read B. Why it is fun to teach a child reading C. What if a child has reading problems D. How you prepare a young child for reading E. What is the best way to teach a child reading F. Whether reading early promises later achievements |
Learning to read early has become one of those indicators — in parents' minds at least – that their child is smart. In fact, reading early has very little to do with whether a child is successful academically. Research has shown that difficulty with reading is often due not to inferior intelligence but to differences in the developmental wiring of each individual child. In some cases, there are neurological problems and developmental lags that can be overcome with proper training.
_______________.
Traditionally, American schools teach children at age six, but many schools begin teaching informally in kindergarten and pre-kindergarten. If parents start too early to encourage reading, and a child does not immediately succeed, the parent has a hard time relaxing and letting the child go at his or her own pace.
_____________________
Over the years, research has proved that the use of both the “whole language" method and the "phonic" method works best for a child to master reading. While the whole language approach, which includes reading to children and getting them interested in both the activity of reading and the story they are reading, is helpful, phonics must be taught. Children must be taught that one of the squiggles they see is a "p" and another a "b". Getting the print off the page requires a different ability than being able to understand the meaning of what is written.
___________________
You can start developing the skills needed in reading at a very young age without putting any pressure on children. Besides reading to them, parents can start "ear training" their child by playing thyme games. This develops the child's ability to recognize different sounds. In reading to children, parents also can point to words as they go, teaching the child that the funny lines on the page are the words you are saying. All this should be a fun activity.
_____________________
Once a child is in school, the learning of reading is inevitably more serious. For children who have some kind of reading difficulty, you must get a professional diagnosis. While the teacher might say the child is merely disinterested but will get over it, disinterest or poor performance in reading can stem from a number of things, some being very specific learning disabilities that can be identified and worked on. But it is very tricky for parents to deal with their own child's learning disabilities.

Vauban We know cars are terrible polluters, but would you give yours up? Vauban, a community in southwestern Germany, did just that, and its 5,000 citizens are doing fine. Most streets are free of vehicles, and there are generous green spaces and good public-transport lines, including fast buses and bicycle paths. When people must drive, they can turn to car-sharing clubs.“All the citizens had the chance to plan their own city,” says Andreas Dellexe, an energy expert, “and it’s just how we wanted it to be.” |
Denmark During the period of gas shortage in the early 70s, Denmark decided to become self-sufficient(自足).So they began a few projects making smart investments along the way. On the island of Satosoc, local families, fishermen and farmers bought wind turbines(涡轮机) to produce their own energy, Within seven years these turbines were completely paid for.And can you believe just one of wind turbines produces enough electricity for 600 households? |

Trey Parker and Matt Stone Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of South Park, have built a sustainable(可持续的) castle with outer siding and inner flooring of recycled wood, recycled carpeting, high-efficiency boiler systems. I think more and more people today are willing to make a statement about the Earth and how they want to protect it,” Michael Ruth, home designer and builder says.“For high-end homes in this valley, this is entirely consistent with what they cost.” |
P-NUT Who doesn’t love the name P-NUT—short for Personal-Neo Urban Transport? It’s Honda’s latest attempt to create a tiny footprint for a new urban vehicle. This little P-NUT is unique. With a central driving position, the car is designed to move in tight settings. The 11-foot micro car will seat three with two rear-seat passengers behind the driver. “The P-NUT concept explores the packaging and design potential for a vehicle designed for the city lifestyle.” Said Dave Marek, a Honda design spokesman. |

Israel Company Is it possible that annoying rush hour traffic could become a source of renewable energy? Israel’s Technion Institute of Technology claims that if we placed special generator(发电机) under roads, railways, and runways—we could harvest enough energy to mass-produce electricity.A trial process has been used on a smaller scale, in dance clubs for instance, where the pounding feet of dancers light up the floor. “We can produce electricity anywhere there is a busy road using energy that normally goes to waste,” said Uri Amit, chairman of Israel’s Technion Institute of Technology. |
Coffee Coffee. Some of us can’t start our day without it, and we don’t mind waiting 10 minutes in line for it. Here is the most effective tip to make you a superstar in environment protection. Get a coffee machine for your home or coffee, or persuade your company into buying one.(Tell them it will improve productivity.) Skip the coffee line on the way to work and make something that is better-tasting and much better for your wallet. Plus, you won’t need those plastic cups or carrying cases that just get thrown away.Better yet, use your favorite travel mug. |
The iPod Generation
Today it is common to see people who walk about with colored wires hanging from their ears wherever they go. They move about in their personal bubbles, sometimes unaware of what’s happening around them. They walk around in their own spaces, with their personal “digital(数码的) noise reduction systems” So are you one of them?
For me, walking around in my own personal bubble is perfect. What’s even better, wearing earphones seems to give a signal to people which says, “I’m not available for chatting at the moment.”
Suppose you’re at work and about to make a breakthrough, but a colleague suddenly turns up. At this exact moment, the slightest disturbance would interrupt your work. Once again, those wires hanging from your ears would be sure to give that “Go away!” signal.
It’s probably part of the growing up stage when they just want to ignore their whole family. While their mothers give them lectures about why they should do, their “Yes. Mum.” Problem solved.
Pretty soon, not only will we have pretty colored wires hanging from our ears, but also our brains will be directly plugged into some new high-tech instrument. We’ll be in a virtual(虚拟的) world, communicating with everyone else, or choosing not to, as we like. And they are changing our social habits along the way.
A.Outside life is shut out. |
B.Our high-tech tools are changing quickly. |
C.I also have wires hanging from my ears. |
D.In the home situation, teenagers love these wires. |
E. I don't have to deal with the noise from the environment.
F. After all, I am listening to my favourite music and would rather not be disturbed.
G. Listening to music through earphones is the perfect way to ignore such interruptions.
