Parents should help their children understand money. __So you may start talking about money when our child shows an interest in buying things, candy or toys , for example.
1.The basic function of money
Begin explaining the basic function of money by showing how people trade money for goods or services. It is important to show your child how money is traded for the things he wants to have. If he wants to have a toy, give him the money and let him hand the money to the cashier(收银员). _ When your child grows a bit older and understands the basic function of money, you can start explaining more complex ways of using money.
2. Money lessons
Approach money lessons with openness and honesty.   If you must say no to a child’s request to spend money, explain,” You have enough toy trucks for now.” Or, if the request is for many different things, say, “you have to make a choice between this toy and that toy.”
3.
Begin at the grocery store. Pick out two similar brands of a product-a name-brand butter and a generic(无商标产品),for example. You can show your child how to make choices between different brands of a product so that you can save money. If he chooses the cheaper brand, allow him to make another purchase(购买)with the money saved. Later, you may explain how the more expensive choice leaves less money for other purchases.

A.Wise decisions
B.The value of money
C.Permit the child to choose between them.
D.Tell your child why he can --or cannot---have certain things

E. Talk about how the money bought the thing after you leave the toy store.
F. The best time to teach a child any thing about money is when he shows an interest.

请从以下选项(A、B、C、D、E和F)中选出适合各段落的首句,并在答题纸上将相应选项的标号涂黑。选项中有一项是多余选项。
A. Try different new things.
B. Avoid “black and white thinking”.
C. Associate with optimistic people.
D. Make a plan to stop thinking negatively.
E. Understand the benefits of staying positive.
F. Adopt the motto “everything happens for a reason”.
Develop a positive attitude towards life
When you are going through a challenging time, people will just instruct you to think positively. More often than not, thinking positively proves a strategy for interpreting everything that happens to you in a useful, constructive way. If you want to know how to think more positively, just follow these tips.
_____________. Choosing to think more positively will not only help you take control of your life and make your everyday experiences more pleasant, but it will have countless benefits on your mental and physical health as well as your ability to deal with change. Being aware of these benefits can help you be even more motivated to think positively on a regular basis. One of the most important benefits of positive thinking is that you are more likely to have better coping skills during times of stress.
_____________. Don’t think everything you are faced with either is or it isn’t. In fact, there is what we call the shades of gray in life. Therefore, if something doesn’t turn out the way you want it to, make a list of all of the outcomes in between to see that things aren’t as serious as they seem. For example, if you get a late start on a paper and think you shouldn’t bother because you won’t finish it in time, consider the other possibilities. You could finish half the paper and still get a better grade than if you don’t turn it in.
_____________.That means deciding to overcome the negativity that is going on around you –– and there will always be plenty of it. Think of what you can do today that is good for you and others. Decide how you will react in ways that will make a difference to your life. Don't let other people ruin your plan. People will often make things seem more important or worrisome than they really are. Making a plan to be more positive will already be a move in the right direction. This will help you to stay positive because you will feel a greater sense of control over your life and your choices.
_____________. Experiencing a wide variety of life will do wonders. Stepping out of your comfort zone can often take you by surprise and knock those negative thoughts or black and white thoughts right back into their cave. Something as simple as trying a new food in a restaurant can lead to the discovery of new tastes and different feelings, along with the release of negative impressions. Visiting a new town, city, or country and see how other people view the world can help put a positive spin on your life.
_____________. Optimism is infectious. If you want to be infected by optimism, you should spend time with people who can provide something of value. Look for the positives in other people too –– finding what is good in people. Learn to praise people around you. Connect with people who have many passions and want to share them with you. Avoid seeing anyone with a negative outlook, unless you really care about that person and want to change their thoughts. If you tend to think negatively, you’ll be falling into a trap.

When your pet is sick, you know it needs medication. But pets, like babies, don't know the pill you want them to take will help them.________ Here are some tips to help get your pet to take liquid medicine.
____________If the answer is yes, then your easiest path is to mix it with canned food. First give your hungry pet a small amount of canned food without the medication. It's important that the pet nibbles (一点一点地吃) at the food and sees that there's nothing wrong. Next, while the pet is still hungry, mix the medication in a small amount food and present it. Repeat as necessary to get the entire dose (剂量) down.________ If the pet decides not to finish the meal, the dose will be wasted.
If the chemist says the medication cannot be taken with food, you need a syringe (注射器) or a dropper (滴管) to get the liquid down your pet's throat. _______________Keep a cheerful tone in your voice so the pet doesn't sense your stress or hesitation. Position your pet where it cannot run away, perhaps having a dog sit with his back against a wall or chair ---- or a cat on your lap. __________ Use your other hand to insert the syringe or dropper between the cheek and back teeth. Slowly squeeze the medication so the pet won't choke. Try to keep your pet's mouth closed for approximately 30 seconds until you see it has swallowed. If your pet is being obstinate (倔强的) , stroke (抚摸) its throat gently or blow on the face.
Be sure you end the session with praise and perhaps a treat so your pet will not associate medication with a bad experience.

A.Before you call your pet in, be sure to have the medication and any other materials you’ll need ready.
B.Once the pet is in position, use one hand to gently open the pet's mouth from above, tilting back the head slightly.
C.Ask the vet if the liquid medication can be given with food.
D.You should know the reason why the pet refuses to take medicine.

E. Never mix the medication with the full meal.
F. They just know it smells funny and they don't want it.
G. Don't force your pet to swallow all the medicine.

Around the world there is an increase in the demand for reforestation. This is because the consumption of the forests has affected not only the animals living in the area but also the people. And reforestation is about the rebuilding of the forests that have been severely destroyed. It can offer a lot of benefits when the recreation is successful.
This includes collecting seedlings(幼苗) that are native in the area to make sure that there is a natural reconstruction of the area. Some additional trees which are not native in the area also need to be planted.

Every year, it costs British students more and more to attend university.     So is a university degree really worth it?
In 2006, the UK government started to allow universities in England and Wales to charge British students tuition fees. As a result, more than 80% of students in England and Wales now take out a student loan in order to go to university.     The average student in England and Wales now graduates from university with debts of around £12,000. Students of medicine, who study for longer, usually have debts of more than £20,000. That is a lot of money.     They even struggle to pay rent on a house, because they have to start paying back the student loan after graduating.
You might think that a British person with a degree will find it easy to get a well-paid job. However, most people in “white-collar jobs” seem to have a degree these days, so there is a lot of competition.      Like everyone else, graduates usually have to start at the bottom and work their way up. That can be very frustrating for them, since they are often over-qualified for the work they are doing. While at university, they had dreams of getting an exciting, challenging job. Therefore, life after university ends up being quite disappointing for a lot of graduates.
Students have always been seen as not having a lot of money, but “student poverty” is now considered a real problem in the UK. Most British students expect to get a loan, part-time job or summer job. Worse still, however, an increasing number of students turn to crime to support themselves.

A.They are graduating with larger and larger debts.
B.All these lead to the reevaluation of a university degree.
C.It means graduates cannot afford to buy a house for many years.
D.Sometimes they have to borrow money from relatives and friends.

E. If solved improperly, the debts might cause serious social problems.
F. They use the loan to pay for tuition fees, books and living expenses.
G. Also, British companies tend to value work experience over a piece of paper.

Doctors say anger can be an extremely damaging emotion, unless you learn how to deal with it. They warn that anger can lead to heart disease, stomach problems, headaches, emotional problems and possibly cancer., some people express anger openly in a calm reasonable way. Others burst with anger,  scream or yell. But other people keep their anger inside. They can not or will not express it. This is called repressing anger.
For years many doctors thought that repressing anger was more dangerous to a person’s health than expressing it. They said that when a person is angry, the brain release the same hormones(荷尔蒙). They speed the heart rate, raise blood pressure, or sugar into the blood, etc.     Some doctors say that both repressing and expressing anger can be dangerous. They believe that those who express anger violently may be likely to develop heart disease, and they believe that those who keep their anger inside may face a greater danger of high blood pressure.
. They say the first step is to admit that you are angry and to recognize the real cause of the anger, then decide if the cause is serious enough to get angry about. If it is, they say, “. Wait until your anger has cooled down and you are able to express yourself calmly and reasonably.”
Doctors say that a good way to deal with anger is to find humor in the situation that has made you angry. .

A.In general the person feels excited and ready to act
