It is __38__ to do that when you win! When you lose, you have a tendency(倾向) to slap (拍) the hand — instead of shaking it — and __39__ the ground instead of the eyes. This is not only true for an eight-year-old; it is true for adults, too.

I was wrong to do this. I'm happy today as a(n) __45__ that I have learned this __46__ : There is something to be said for losing well.
__47__ it is a baseball game or an important examination, you can __48__ a lot about a person by now they deal with defeat. CHILDREN AND GAMES
As we all know, games play a very important role in the growth of children. Children should grow along with playing games;   31           , through playing, they can not only acquire knowledge, but also cultivate their abilities to get along with others.
However, most children are   32           ( face ) with a completely different situation. Most parents fear that games will prevent children from increasing new knowledge and   33            the children will fail in the future examinations. So, instead of   34           ( let ) the children   35            find and learn naturally from their surroundings, they force their children to take part in various kinds of classes, learning English, playing   36           piano or practising drawing, etc. What’s more, some parents put   37            the children’s toys which are very useful in developing children’s imagination and practical abilities.
38          is a piece of good advice to those parents:   39          you want to expect your child to be able to accomplish something, you must first of all develop his ability to adapt to the new surroundings. That cram education can lead to nothing   40          a failure in the children’s growth.

For almost 18 years, my mom has given time from her life to devote her care to my growth. She has ashed  36  clothes. She’s planned doctors’ appointments  37  all parts of the body, cut hair, taken icures, bought presents,  38  vacations and basically kept a small boy’s life  39  smoothly.
When I was 12, I got into  40  arguments with my older and wiser parents. The   41  never led a any achievement for me, but I still took part. Many times strong feeling of anger caused tears  42  to in my eyes by the end of the quarrel with them.   43  , I’d return to my room and stay for as long as my parents allowed. They ring true. For some reason, those words possess the unbelievable  52  to reduce anxiety, cool an angry head,   53  fears and put wrong things right.
Perhaps my mother, now worthy of the title “Mom” can  be an example to mothers everywhere. Being a mother is not so  54  . Any female has the ability to become one. The challenge isn’t in becoming a “mother”, but instead , a “mom”. Mine does that quite  55 .

Dear Professor Liu Kai,
I want to thank you for offering me such useful advice during my research. I have completed my article about advertisements, and I’m quite satisfied   58    it. It has just been published on our school website. I never knew that advertisements were so interesting! The information I found will really help me to educate others. I hope that after they    59    my article, my schoolmates will understand that PSAs    60   intended to educate us about public welfare issues, and    61    commercial ads are meant to promote products or services. Before our talk, I did not think very much about how an advertiser might be trying to trick customers    62   buying a   63   or a service. Now I think I will be much smarter about what things to buy. Even if there are lots of exciting images and persuasive language. I will remember to think about the things I buy. I will also pay a    64    more attention to the nationwide public service ad campaigns because now I know how helpful they can be. I will encourage my friends    65    pay attention to them as well.
Thank you again for helping me find so much useful information!
Yours faithfully

I patiently walked to the library, took my seat and did some deep breathing to help relax 35    .But my mood quickly changed when I saw一36      first question. I had no idea how to do it. I tried to stay positive and persevered 37      I finally found the solution. With the problem 38     (solve), I felt proud of my achievement. 39    (fortunate), I then noticed that I had just 10 minutes left 40       (complete) the rest!

第二节:语法填空(共10小题,每小题1.5分,满分15分)
Television is now playing a very important part in our life. But television, like many     11    things, has both advantages and disadvantages. Do the 12      outweigh (比…更重要) the latter?
In the first place, television is not only a convenient source of entertainment, but also     13       comparatively cheap one. For a family of four, for example, it is  14      as well as cheaper to sit comfortably at home, with almost unlimited entertainment available, than to go out in search of amusement elsewhere.
All they have to do is   15      (press) a button, and they can see plays, films, operas, and shows of every kind, not to mention the latest    16     (excite) football match. Some people,    17      maintain that this is precisely    18     the danger lies. The television viewer makes no choice and exercises no judgment. He is completely passive and has everything     19  (present) to    20    without any effort on his part.
