Dear Editor,
I’m a senior high school student, named Li Hua. Now many students
have iPods and think it’s a fashion to use it. Using an iPod , we can listen
to music, downloading a lot of learning materials and read them on the
screen. Apparently, it is helpful to our study, specially to our English listening.
Some students, however, take their iPods to the classroom and listen to
music with earphones, which make the teacher and other students greatly
annoyed. What’s worse, some of them even waste the precious time in class
playing video games.
In my opinion, as students, we shall make good use of iPod to
help achieve academic successes. Classroom is a place for students to
study, and therefore concentration awfully needed for us to learn  
our lessons. Furthermore, the school should make a rule to guide the
students to use iPods in a proper way.

In recently years many young people prefer to go shopping on the Internet. People have different opinion about online shopping. Some think online shopping was more convenient and the goods are cheap. However, other believe it is unsafe to buy goods by credit card. And it is possible to check the quality of the goods.
As far as I am concern, going shopping in a store is a better way. It is a fun to walk around stores and looking at various goods on sale. We can choose what we really need and even find a good bargain. However, we can chat with the shop assistant and acquire a lot of useful information.

Yesterday I bought new coat in a shop. When I came back home, I found
it so big for me . This morning , I went to the shop  and change the coat

made it be dirty . So I got very angry but quarreled with him , pointing

Last weekend we went mountain-climbing．Even the heavy rain in the morning could
not prevent us go．Setting off very early, we went along an extreme narrow road, all in
high spirits．On every side of the road were green fields and some farm house．We could
hear the sound of the rain and our footsteps mixing with our laughter．At noon we
reached top of the mountain．That surprised us most was the beauty of the scenes
there．After having a short rest and sharing with the food we had brought, we started
going down．It rained even harder．We are wet to the skin, and we still sang and
laughed happily．

I think that travelling is a good way to learning about the world. And I like very much. There are many kinds of transport to choose of when travelling. We may neither take a plane, a train, a bus, a car, a bike, a ship or even take a trip on feet. As for me, I prefer to ride a bike. There are a good many advantages of travelling by a bike. I suppose it is not only cheaply, but also help us take exercise. Compare with other forms of transport, riding a bike causes little pollution, and is better for the environment.

When tea and coffee was first introduced to Europe in the 18^th century, people
thought they were harm. So the king of Sweden decided to find out that this was true
or not. It was happened that there were two brothers were in prison at the time. The
king ordered one of them to drink tea every day and other coffee. Both of them have

Last week my parents and I took a two-days trip to Mount Emei in Sichuan. As everyone knows, it’s famous mountain with all kinds of plants and animals. The weather was fine. I am a senior high school student. In my opinion, the classroom is place for students to gain knowledges. So quietness is badly need for us to learn in the classroom. But recently some students have brought their mobile phones to the classroom and we often hear of the ring of mobile phones. Some of them even wasted precious time in class type short messages on the mobile phones. To keep the classroom quietly and make us focus more on their studies, I suggest that mobile phones shouldn’t be used in the classroom. At least, they should be used where we are having a class.

I was used to be the shyest person in the world. I often hide behind my mother whenever there came a visitor. When asking to speak in class, I could hard breathe. Then in the seven grade, I had a new English teacher, Miss Creen. One day, he asked me a question but I didn’t know the answer of it. I stood there, not knowing what to say. Learning that I was a shy person after class, she gave me some advices. She said, “Remember to smile after doing everything, and you’ll feel good about yourself.” Now I’m not a shy person. A sports meeting was held in our school several days before. The last event was the 400-meter relay race, that had promised to be an exciting one. And so it was! Teams from every class joined in the race, but the winning team would be the champion of our school! So each player tries hard to win. The big crowd became quite silently and all of them had their eyes were focused as the team took their places. Heard the sound of the gun, the runners shot quickly and passed the relay sticks from one to another. Suddenly a runner from class 4 dropped his stick, but another runner picked them up and ran even faster. At the finishing lines, the runners from our class breasted the tape. Our class took a first place. Everyone cheered wildly and we felt extremely proud.
