Our English club was set up two months ago．Now，we have members of 25．We met once a week on Saturday afternoon．So far，we have been conducted a variety of activities on English learning，such as watching English films，including a Christmas party and get together with the foreign students．Last week we held an English story－telling competition．We required that the entries would be original and interesting and be presented in English within five minutes．Every member took an actively part in it．Two foreign English teachers were invited to act as judge．At last，LiBing won the first place．Many members said that the activity benefited them many ways．

One day Rosa wrote to her friend, who was a doctor, invite him to have dinner with her families. Then her husband got an idea. He told her that a chemist might be able read the doctor’s letter. So the woman went to chemist’s. The chemist in the shop studied the letter for a long time but he gave her a large bottle of medicine. He told the woman she should eat twelve pills a day. Finally Rosa still had no idea whether her friend will come or not.

I'd like to tell you something more about the problem of pollution we are facing to. As we know, the factory besides our school gives off heavy smoke all day long. Very loud voices hurt our ears. Rubbish and waste are thrown here or there. It also sends out polluting water and poisonous gas. All this has made a great harm to the health and study of the teachers and students. But as time goes on, a little has done to change the situation. I don't think we could study well unless the problem is solved. We do hope you'll help and support us.

Welcome to our English Corner. This Corner was set up three years before. Every Sunday morning, students from different schools gather around here.
