Three years ago I failed a important exam in my life and became a student in an ordinary school. Disappointing as I felt at the shabby campus and the poorly-equipped classroom, we found the teachers patient and considerate. Besides, I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere on class. I decided to make best of it. I work hard and got along well with my teachers and classmates. Whenever I had difficulties, they were not helpful. Soon , I became one of the top student in my class, which greatly increased my confident and got me motivated.
My experience tells me that it is not what you are given but how you make use of it which determines who you are.

Success depends on many factors, both physical and spiritual. In my opinion, mental factors like a strong will is far more decisive in enabling us achieve success.
Otherwise, we must apply our strong willpower and perseverance when face with challenges. Three years ago I was proud to be admitted to a key middle school, but soon I found everything is different from that I had expected. Hard although I studied, I still fell behind. However, I kept on trying persistently searching for the suitable learning methods. Eventual, my studies improved little by little.
In a word, where there is will, there is a way. Only by making up strong-willed efforts can we overcome all obstacles lie on our way to success and maximize our potential and gain competitive strengths.

This morning I got up early and went to school as usually, only to find there were nobody in the classroom because it is Sunday. “How a bad memory I have!” I couldn’t help laughing. As a senior three student, it won’t take long after I graduate. Now, I have much to share with my fellow student. Tom is a senior two students who devotes himself to his lessons every day. Last Saturday, as usual, he went to several courses. In the evening, he studies at home until deep into the night. Read English newspapers is my favorite activity. When I entered into high school, I began to enjoy doing such work. With the teacher’s help, I realize that reading English articles are of great important. It’s a good way to improve my English. I’ve learned more new words and expression by doing so. I also get many information, including news about China and the   world outside. It opens my eyes widely. Which I love most is the section about TV programs in the coming week. I enter an Internet bar near my home the other day. To my amazed, I met many students there, listening to music, chatting with strangers or watch movies. Failure is part of our life. Somebody has ever achieved great success without lots of failures. One experience left lasting impression on me. I’ve been fond of playing the piano since my childhood. Last year there was a piano competition for teenager in my city and I take part in it. I couldn’t wait to show off. The day finally came. However, when I was on the stage I was very nervous that I made several mistakes while playing. My performance was a completely failure!
It was only after the competition when I realized my failure resulted in my lack of practice. From then on, I devoted more time to play the piano because I firmly believe that practice make perfect.

There are lots of experience in our life. The most unforgettable one for me is the speech competition holding last year. I’m interested in English. Friendship is very importance. Everyone needs friendship. In all our lives we can’t live without friendship just as we can’t live without air and water. Friendship makes us getting on well with one another to go ahead under different kind of difficulties in the front of us. But real friendship is no easy to come by. True friendship must be sincerely and be based on understand each other but not on benefits of each other. A good friend can always be a good teacher to us. By his advices we are persuading to go the right way. Therefore more friends we have, the better we can improve ourselves.
