This tradition was started by mom several years ago. My mom, my brother, my sister and I all went to the cancer treatment center with some flowers. Each patient, doctor ,and nurse received flower from us. “why do you send us flowers?” they would asked and our answer was that” it’s just because you’re special.” this went on, we often sent even more of flowers. One day , I accidently found a boy was making (beauty) cards in the street, with the words “just Because You’re Special” on them. Out of curiosity, I (chat) with the boy and this remind me to make some cards to send together some flowers .
Today, after our mom passed away from cancer, still take flowers to the patients ,doctors and nurses with our own “Just Because You ‘re Special “card (tie) to them.
Even though the cancer treatment has moved to different location, we still pass this on. One patient told us (excited) that it was the first rose that he (receive)over ten years and the rose made his life (energy)during his stay in hospital . We plan to continue to do this and I will encourage more people to do this. Giving a flower to others might make their day special.
