It was a busy morning, about 8:30,when an elderly gentleman in his 80s came to the hospital .I heard him saying to the nurse that he was in a hurry for all appointment(约会)at 9:30
The nurse had him take a 36 in the waiting area, 37 him it would be at least 40 Minutes 38 someone would be able to see him I saw him 39 his watch and decided, since I was 40 busy—my patient didn’t 41 at the appointed hour, I would examine his wound .While taking care of his wound.I asked him if he had another doctor’s appointment
The gentleman said no and told me that he 42 to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his 43 . He told me that she had been 44 for a while and that she had a special disease I asked if she would be 45 if he was a bit late. He replied that she 46 knew who he was, that she had not been able to 47 him for five years now. I was 48 , and asked him,“And you 49 go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?”
He smiled and said.“She doesn’t know me but I know who she is” I had to hold back 50 as he left.
Now I 51 that in marriages, true love is 52 of all that is The happiest people don’t 53 have the best of everything;they just 54 the best of everything they have 55 isn’t about how to live through the storm, but how to dance in the rain.

Childish Voice
When I was a young child, my parents often told me that it was time to teach a man everything. I didn’t understand and wondered why 36 had such a big influence 37 a person. I thought I could grow up quickly to find it out as an adult. But now, 38 I come to knock at the door of adulthood, I feel 39 to express my own 40 on this saying. I know that I’m just a high school student with very 41 experiences. There are still many things 42 me in the future, yet I would like to express myself in a childish voice.
I once read this sentence: “To make this world a happy place to live, you’d better 43 youreself and your heart , instead of the whole world.” I was shocked. It made me think about life 44 . There are so many things around us that 45 our will. We can’t force life 46 our wishes. The earth won’t stop turning no matter whether we 47 it or not. What we can do is just to make ourselves 48 the world. I think we should learn to accept 49 life gives us, no matter whether it’s the spring sunlight or the winter snowfall, and try to be happy.
Deeply moved by the pop song Grandmother (by Jay Chou), I always try to 50 every pleasant thing in my life, but now I see I don’t catch most of the pleasant moments. It is more 51 that they slip by and leave you feeling 52 . I realize that I’m not just living 53 myself and that there are the others around me I should think of .They all pay attention to my growing up, even if it’s just a little progress.
Everyone has his or her own attitude towards life, be it positive or 54 . It doesn’t matter, I think. There is one 55 that should be obeyed—and that’s to make this world better.

Big things were happening in my life the summer after I turned 13. In the middle of that summer, my parents my entire world and turned it upside down they told me they were getting a divorce. I couldn’t believe that our family was going to . Though I always knew my parents weren’t very happy and they often , I still wanted my family to stay the same.
My life changed completely the divorce. My mother and I moved into a small apartment across town, my father and brother, Bill, stayed in our house. I now became a whenever I went to see my dad and Bill on the weekends. And immediately I had my soon-to-be stepfather, Dan, whom I showed no in. I was depressed, especially after Dan and my mother married and I realized that there was no that things could change back to the way they were.
Even though I all Dan’s attempts to get to know me and wasn’t very to him, he never gave up on me. , I began to trust him. I realized that we actually had some things in , especially when it came to movies and TV shows. We a lot of time together hanging out watching TV. That gave us a chance to talk and getto know each other.
Better still, Dan showed an interest in me that I had never experienced from my own father. Dan was always around when I needed on school or friends. Once I began to warm up to Dan, the three of us began spending a lot of time together. We often went out to eat and took short trips. , I discovered that I had the happy family that I had always wanted.
I now realize my parents were about getting the divorce. Their divorce was the best thing to happen for all of us. My father also found happiness—he and had another child, my half-sister, Michelle.
At 13, I learned an important —change is not always the worst thing that can . Sometimes, it is just what we need the most.
