When I was studying in Kansas City last year，a hurricane swept through the city．We were sitting round the kitchen table while we heard the alarm．We ran down into the basement and laid on the floor．Then I heard a noise，like approaching train，which got louder and louder．The house began to shake! And then ，all of a sudden，it stopped．We went to upstairs and tried the door to the kitchen，so it wouldn't open．The house directly across the street had completely been disappeared! We were relieved to see people coming from the basement unharming．Amazing，the upstairs of the house was unaffected．But the hurricane had broken all the windows in the kitchen，and the wind had blown the kitchen table—the one we were sitting minutes before—against the door to the basement．

I love camping. It’s my favourite way to spent the summer vacation.  Last year, my family and I went camping in the countryside. It was one of the most excited experiences I had never had. We slept in a tent and went on a long walk every day. We cook over a fire and the food always tasted wonderfully. For a whole week, I saw lovely mountain views or breathed fresh air. At night, I heard the gentle wind blowing in the tree, and I felt so peaceful.  It doesn’t cost many to camp, and what I believe it’s the best way to get close nature and enjoy its beauty.

Thank you very much for your last letter asked me something about how to choose a dictionary for learn Chinese. Here I strong recommend you the following two which may be useful to you. One of they is the English-Chinese/ Chinese-English Dictionary which will cost you 52 yuans. There are 18,000 English words and 20,000 Chinese words in them. So it has lots of   examples showing how to use the words, you will be very valuable for the beginners like us. The  other one is Xinhua dictionary, which charge you only ￥11 and has a collection of 10,000  Chinese words. It is the most commonly used one in China. If you need my help with your  Chinese please write to me. I’m look forward to your reply.

Jack London had a very hardly life. He born in San Francisco on January 12, 1876. In 1893 he become a sailor. For the next four years he fought and working his way around the world. He begged his food from door to door. When that he was twenty-one he decided to try and get an education, but before a few months he left school and went off to take part in the Klondyke Gold Rush on 1897. She hiked in north western Canada, and came back empty-handed.  Two years late he sold his first story. From that time on he made his livings by writing.

It is important to know that a parent should do to help reduce children’s stress. If you notice that your child is becoming nerve, he may have problems at the school. He may has trouble sleep. Your problem is common one among middle school students. Maybe the following advices can help you. First in all, believe in yourself. Your greatest problem is that you don’t have self-confidence. It is over 3 year now since I began study English. At first I found it very difficult. I couldn’t get most of the sounds right, spell the words correctly and remember the rules of the grammar. When I first learned to write in English, I run into many difficulties．The mainly problem was that I always thought in Chinese but tried to translate everything into Chinese．My teacher advised me to keep the diaries．I followed her advices．Happily it worked．Soon I began to enjoy talk to myself on paper as I was learning to express me in simple English. The day before yesterday, I went to the bookstore which is near our school to buy the reference book. It was Saturday, so there was many people.
