A young man went to visit a wise man living deep in the mountain for the wisdom of life.
“Excuse me! Could you please tell me what the most day in our lives is?Is it the day when we were born or the day we ?Is it the day when we fall in love or the day we succeed?”The young man asked.
“ The most important day in our lives is today. ”The wise man replied calmly.
“Why?”The young man felt more than . “Is it because there is a moving event taking place today?”
“No. Nothing has happened today. ”
“Is it because of my visit?”
“Even if nobody visited me today, today is very important because today is the only wealth we have. No matter how memorable yesterday is, it has gone by like a ship going down into the sea; no matter how bright tomorrow may be, it is yet to come; but no matter how common today is, it is our control (控制). ”
The young man still wanted to ask something, while the wise man him and said, “When we are talking about the meaning of today, we have a lot of it. ”
The young man nodded and then went down the mountain.
Actually, today is the only we have. So, what we should do now is to yesterday and tomorrow and catch fast today!

On a cold December morning, my mother and I were walking home from pizza store. We were served
warmly and equipped with the video we had been trying . I was feeling a little tired I was carrying our shopping bags of snacks and the video.
They were so that I decided to throw away some of them. So I started to walk towards the dustbin when I noticed a poor man stepping out of the restaurant in front of us. He held a paper bag with his dirty hand. He headed for another nearby dustbin and started looking something.
I suddenly felt very upset. I know this man would take all he could get, so I walked up to him and handed the drink and some snacks to him. The man, with lines on his face and wrinkles(皱纹) on his forehead, looked up in and took what I gave him.
A huge smile spread across his face and this made feel indescribable satisfaction(满意). I felt like I couldn’t be happier with myself, but then he said, “Wow, first someone gives me this sandwich, then this drink, and now some tasty food, this is my daughter’s day!”
He thanked me and started off on his bike. I even heard him whistling(吹哨) a song as he
away.
I now understand what is meant by the saying “Giving is getting”. Everyone in the world needs help, everyone can help and everyone will be helped by something kind.
The image(图像) of that man’s happiness caused by my small gift appears in my mind every time I have the chance to do something nice.

“I like it anyway,” I said, “I had loved Venus even that Christmas. You could see it in the early evening, and if you got up early, you could still see it in the morning, after all the stars had disappeared.”
Dad said, “Ok, it’s Christmas. I your decision. You can have it if you want.” And he gave me Venus.

At first, I thought that my life was because I couldn’t do any of the things I used to do. I believed that my life had no purpose and I was no to anybody anymore. I began to be interested in surfing the Internet for information.
One day I received several emails asking for help for sick children. I decided to post their stories and pictures on a webpage. What began as a has grown into a fulltime job I enjoy doing every day. Since my website was built, I’ve received tens of emails from worried parents asking me to put their child’s story online. The story was a true one and still moved me deeply. Thirty years ago,I got to know a 36 lady named Rose. She had no kids and lived alone. 37 I went to visit her, I always took Rose some coffee and food. One day she said she 38 me to have hunch.
We walked from my work place to a little restaurant on David Street. 39 the way, I began to worry: I knew that she had no money, but if I offered(提供) to 40 the lunch,I was afraid I would hurt her.
There were many people in the 41 and all of them were happy. Rose told me to sit and drink coffee by the window. Then she went to 42 in the kitchen. After about 20 minutes, she came out and sat with me. She just paid for one meal and we started to 43 the delicious food together. She told 44 that the restaurant let people work for a meal if they had no money, or would give them a free meal if they were not able to work. To my surprise, she also explained that the workers who were working there were all 45 .
I 46 remember the beautiful afternoon I shared with Rose. 47 we had a meal together only once, it was paid by Rose's work. The weather was 48 and bright, and everyone's smile was warm and bright as well.
I’m still thinking that life cannot be easy to us, but we can still do 49 for our friends and neighbors. The world will be 50 if everybody would like to share happiness with others. It will never be dark if there is a light in everyone's heart.
