Will consumers raise their sights to a fifth level of wants as their income increases, or will they continue to demand luxuries and personal services on the fourth level?
A fifth level probably would involve wants that can be achieved best by community action. Consumers may be spending more on taxes to pay for government action against disease, ignorance, crime and prejudice. __In this way, we can enjoy more fully the good things on the first four levels.

Also, identify the kinds of interests they keep coming back to, as these offer clues to the careers that will fit them best.
Set a Good Example for Your Kids
Kids need a range of real role models. Have regular dinner-table discussions about people the family knows and how they got where they are. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of your own career and encourage your kids to form some ideas about their own future. When asked what they want to do, they should be discouraged from saying “I have no idea.” They can change their minds 200 times, but having only a foggy view of the future is of little good.
_______Teachers are responsible for teaching kids how to learn; parents should be responsible for teaching them how to work. Assign responsibilities around the house and make sure homework deadlines are met. Encourage teenagers to take a part-time job. Kids need plenty of practice developing effective organizational skills, such as managing time and setting priorities(优先).
_________Playing video games encourages immediate content(满足). And hours of watching TV shows with canned laughter only teaches kids to process information in a passive way. At the same time, listening through earphones to the songs for a long time encourages kids to stay inside instead of participating in other outdoor activities. All these activities can prevent the growth of children’s communication and thinking skills and make it difficult for kids to develop the kind of sustained (持续的) concentration they will need for most jobs.

Most of all, these new adults must feel that they are respected and supported by a family that appreciates them.

Good communication is vital in modern society. We know that much of the communication is unspoken. Consciously or unconsciously, we show our true feelings with our eyes, faces, bodies and attitudes. The best type of smile and eye contact is gentle and comfortable, not forced.

You should also absorb other people before showing yourself. You can't learn anything when you talk. When you attend a meeting, a party or an interview, don't immediately start throwing your opinions. Stop for a second. Absorb what's going on. What's the mood of the others — are they down, up, happy, expectant? Are they eager to learn from you, or do they show resistance? If you can sense what's happening with others, you will be better able to reach them. So, listen before you talk.

How do you get your energy up? Before the meeting, collect your thoughts about the goal of the meeting — yours and the other's. Once you go through the doorway, no longer think about yourself. Focus on the person you are meeting to find out what he is interested in. Properly collected energy comes across when we sincerely believe something. When you speak with energy, you are involved with your audience and your message. You create an air of certainty. The audience may disagree with you, but they can't question your belief.

Learning disabilities are problems that affect the brain’s ability to receive, process, analyze, or store information. The most common and best-known verbal learning disability is dyslexia(诵读困难), which causes people to have trouble recognizing or processing letters and the sounds associated with them. Learning disabilities make up at least 10 percent of the population at present.

People with learning disabilities have average or above-average intelligence, but their difficulties in managing the information their brains receive hold them back in school and at work, causing problems with self-esteem(自尊). The disability usually only affects certain limited areas of a child’s development. Causes of learning disabilities are various. Environmental factors, complications during pregnancy, genetic influences, CNS(Central Nervous System) infections are all possible factors. Signs of learning disabilities may vary from person to person. Some have difficulty in speaking, spelling, listening or understanding; some can’t recognize words previously learned and others may have problems with math, direct attention or physical coordination(协调).

Diagnosis(诊断)includes intellectual, educational, speech and language, medical, and psychological evaluations. The important thing is to follow up on any concerns, whether you notice something wrong at home or a teacher raises a red flag. A specialist in learning disabilities may not be as knowledgeable about other conditions that may contribute to learning difficulties. For the diagnosis of learning difficulties, IQ test can be taken which will give the results of learning disabilities. The specialist will test sensory disorders that can lead to learning problems.

The good news about learning disabilities is that while they’re permanent, they’re also treatable. Learning disabilities fall within the class of Neurological(神经学的)issues called developmental disabilities, in which they limit success in one or more major life areas, and they can’t be reversed(彻底转变)by meditation. Among these sources are doctors, special education, teachers and mental health professionals who can help identify learning disabilities and recommend the right combination of medical, psychological, and educational treatment.
