Doctors say anger can be an extremely damaging emotion, unless you learn how to deal with it. They warn that anger can lead to heart disease, stomach problems, headaches, emotional problems and possibly cancer., some people express anger openly in a calm reasonable way. Others burst with anger,  scream or yell. But other people keep their anger inside. They can not or will not express it. This is called repressing anger.
For years many doctors thought that repressing anger was more dangerous to a person’s health than expressing it. They said that when a person is angry, the brain release the same hormones(荷尔蒙). They speed the heart rate, raise blood pressure, or sugar into the blood, etc.     Some doctors say that both repressing and expressing anger can be dangerous. They believe that those who express anger violently may be likely to develop heart disease, and they believe that those who keep their anger inside may face a greater danger of high blood pressure.
. They say the first step is to admit that you are angry and to recognize the real cause of the anger, then decide if the cause is serious enough to get angry about. If it is, they say, “. Wait until your anger has cooled down and you are able to express yourself calmly and reasonably.”
Doctors say that a good way to deal with anger is to find humor in the situation that has made you angry. .

Sure, we've all heard that we should get more sleep. The realities of life often make it become "we should get more sleep later."    The result is that you wake up the next day feeling like a role of The Walking Dead. Here are four ways you can adjust your biology in order to pay less for staying up.
● Move around.
Exercising before bed is a sure way to keep awake. That's why you shouldn't do it when you want to go to sleep, and it is also why hitting the gym, or even some fast push-ups can tell your body that it's not time for bed.  Being physically exhausted isn't fun when you are trying to stay up late.
● Eat more protein.
Few people think about the fact that the brain and body use a lot more energy when we're awake. If you are pulling an all-nighter, you're going to need a lot more food than you are used to eating.    To stay awake, plan to eat larger meals than normal and to eat them more frequently.
● Drink the right stuff.
It's tempting (诱人) to switch to sugary caffeine drinks like Red Bull, but the sugar will lead to a crash. Instead, if you want to use caffeine, drink early in the evening so it'll wear off by the time you want to sleep.
Don't make it worse by drinking sugar.

Turn the lights down at night because bright lights keep you awake. For three or four hours after you're exposed to bright white light, your body won't make melatonin, a must for deep sleep. You will sleep better if you turn the lights a little bit down.

A.Turn the lights off.
B.Avoid bright lights.
C.Just do enough to get energetic.
D.And your body can never bear something like that.

E. Your brain can use up to 25 percent of your total calories.
F. When you stay up late, your blood sugar becomes abnormal.
G. There is either more work to be done, or more fun to be had, or both.

Why is setting goals important?         Instead of just letting life happen to you, goals allow you to make your life happen.
Successful people imagine how their life should be and set lots of goals.   .It’s like having a map to show you where you want to go. Thank of it this way. There are two drivers. One has a destination (目的地) in mind which can be found on a map. She can drive straight there without any wasted time or wrong turns. The other driver has no goal or destination or map.     . They decide what they want in life and then get there by making plans and setting goals. Unsuccessful people just let life happen by accident. Goals aren’t difficult to set and they aren’t difficult to reach .          . You are the one who must decide what to achieve and in what direction to aim your life.
. Written goals can be reviewed regularly, and have more power. Like a contract (合同) with yourself, they are harder to neglect or forget. Also when you write your goals in a particularly way, you are able to make yourself know situations that will bring you nearer to your goal.

A.Research tells us that when we write a goal down we are more likely to achieve it
B.Winners in life set goals and follow through
C.It’s up to you to find out what your goals really are
D.It’s difficult for a driver to reach his destination without a map

Getting your children to study can be a little like getting them to eat their vegetables.
Make a study time and have it at the same time every day. This will help your kids to learn to schedule their day and will give them a sense of control over how they spend their time.
Allow them to study in blocks of time, such as for half an hour with a five-minute break in the middle.     Ideal (理想的)study times are after dinner or right after school before dinner.

To be a good teacher, you need some of the gifts of a good actor: you must be able to hold the attention and interest of your audience; you must be a clear speaker, with a good, strong, pleasing voice which is fully under your control; and you must be able to act what you are teaching in order to make its meaning clear.

Watch a good teacher, and you will see that he does not sit unmoved before his class: he stands the whole time he is teaching; he walks about, using his arms, his hands and fingers to help him in his explanations, and his face to express feeling. Listen to him, and you will hear the loudness, the quality and the musical note if his voice always changes according to what he is talking about.

The fact that a good teacher has some of the gifts of a good actor doesn’t mean that he will indeed be able to act well on the stage, for there are very important differences between the teacher’s work and the actor’s. The actor has to speak words which he has learnt by heart; he has to repeat exactly the same words each time he plays a certain part, and even his movements and the ways in which he uses his voice are usually fixed beforehand. What he has to do is to make all these carefully learnt words and actions seem natural on the stage.

A good teacher works in quite a different way. His audience takes an active part in his play: they ask questions, they obey orders, and if they don’t understand something, they say so. The teacher therefore has to suit his act to the needs of his audience. He cannot learn his part by heart, but must invent it as he goes along.

As a good teacher presently, you must take your audience as your friends, take care of them, help them and give them enough freedom and space. I have known many teachers who are fine actors in class but are unable to take part in a stage play because their brains can’t keep discipline: they cannot keep strictly to what another has written.

下面文章中有四处(第38-41)需要添加小标题请从以下选项(ABCD)中选出符合各段意思的小标题。
A. Talk slowly
B. Use the best words
C. Express your emotions
D. Notice the details
4 Ways to Improve Your Conversation Skills
The ability to talk smoothly has a lot to do with choosing the precise words to convey your precise feelings or thoughts. Constantly develop your vocabulary and practice communicating as accurately as possible. It will help you develop a way with words and allow you to express yourself more easily.
It’s very rare to meet a person who is comfortable talking about their emotions and how certain things make them feel, especially with strangers. Yet this way of talking is a real virtue. Don’t just present the facts, you’re not a newspaper. Express your feelings about those facts. Keep in mind that it is at the emotional level that people connect best.
People with good conversation skills tend to notice the kind of things that the average person doesn’t notice, and to bring such details into the conversation. They may notice and point out an interesting ring on the other person’s hand, a certain foreign accent, or a certain voice tone they use when saying name. Thus, such individuals impress people in a very elegant manner.
Typically, good talkers don’t rush into a conversation. They take their time when they reflect on something and when they say it out loud. They act as if they have all the time in the world. This makes them come off as centered and collected. Model this way of talking and you will create the same effect.
