As far as I can remember, grow up in Ohio left many good memories and very few bad ones. We rented a home near a lake where I spent good time of my life. I attended to school to learn a variety of course, and went camping overnight in the woods. My dog and I would go fishing in the lake that I mentioned early. During the winter we will come down at night and go ice-skating on the lake. In Ohio the snow could be heavily sometimes and too deep to walk in as I was not that tall at the time. With the development of the technology, more and more students prefer to using electronic dictionary to replace paper dictionary. Some students is in favor of the idea using electronic dictionary. They think it convenient to look for the words in electronic dictionary than paper dictionary. Thus, it can save many time for them. When I began my senior high school years, I had difficulty to learning English. I dared not speak English in public because my poor pronounce. I could not get high marks, but I always used bad grammar. Afraid of be laughed at, I never put up my hand answer questions in class. My friend Luo Ming looked sadly today．When I asked about her the lesson, she said that winter vacation was going to be over soon and that she had to go back to school．Luo Ming doesn’t do well in her studies but she isn’t interested in studying．I guess that’s how she doesn’t want to go back to school．But I look forward to go back to school．I enjoy studying very much．It helps enrich her knowledge．After relaxing for more than twenty day in the cold winter, now I was full of energy and can’t wait to study in the classroom again．I hope Luo Ming will one day find the fun of studying, either.

My soccer coach retired in last week. I wanted to do anything special for him at his retirement party. My mum makes the better biscuits in the world, so I decide to ask her for help. In order to promote participation in outdoor exercise, our school had organized an activity to climb the West Mountain on April 10. The moment we arrived at the foot of a mountain, we set out for the top in high spirit. We supported each other to pass the rocky areas on the course of the climb. I just came back from Britain last week．I was luckily enough to be one of the students from different country to visit the UK from Feb．16 to 28．We paid a visit to a good many of places, like London, Oxford or the Lake District．I learned much about British culture and history in London, where was my favorite．I also liked Oxford, in which I saw much more old buildings．The Lake District was beautiful, but it was pity that it rained heavily when they were there．The most excited thing for me in Britain was that I make a lot of friends there．

It is known to all that we students today have to fix our attention to our lessons, so we know few of society. A holiday is the best time and the best chance to make up for that. Take a part-time job is a good form of social practice. That we have learned in books and in class can’t have the same important effect us as what we have learned through personal practice. While playing near my home, I notice a turkey with its head under a rock. It looked stuck. My friends and I watched a while, but the bird couldn’t free it.

I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard my name calling. I was chosen to play a role of the heroine (女主角）in the play, what was my dream. As a shy and thin girl, I was used to be quite afraid of speaking in public. But my parents and teachers always encourage me to do so. Now I have changed great. Recently, as the development of the Internet, there is a kind of language calling Web language. Some people even speak Chinese mixed with English letters. The other day our class had a discussion about if we should welcome the Web language.
Forty percent of the students think it ridiculous. They argue that it does no good help people communicate, nor is it useful for learning English. Besides, it’ll make Chinese more standard and pure, finally ruining our mother tongue. However, 60% of our class is fond of it. They think it is simple, convenience and helpful in expressing them. What’s more, it may make the language more interesting.
Personally, it’s not good habit to use the Web language. It may be popular, but you may also make yourself be misunderstood.
