On September 1941, the Nazi army was near St Petersburg．This was a time when the two country were at war．Before the Nazis could get the summer palace, the Russians were able to remove some furniture and small art objects from the Amber Room．However, some of the Nazis secret stole the room itself．In less than two days 100,000 piece were put inside twenty-seven wood boxes．There is no doubt if the boxes were then put on a train for Konigsberg．After that, what happens to the Amber Room remains a mystery．
Recently, the Russians and Germans were built a new Amber Room at the summer palace．By study old photos of the former Amber Room, they have made the new one look like the old one．

I visited my aunt in the countryside near the city last week. I was surprising to see that great changes had been taken place in the countryside. Last weekend, I helped my grandparents with their trip to the Dalian. On Saturday morning, together with my grandparents, I search the Internet for the train schedule, the weather in Dalian, and some hotel informations. In the afternoon, they went to the train station and managed to buy two tickets for my grandparents although there had a long queue. After dinner, I packed the things into the suitcase, what my grandparents would need, such as clothes, glasses, an umbrella, a map. The next morning, I went to the station to show them off. Waved goodbye to them on the platform, I felt happily for them and wished them a safe journey.

Many people which smoke say that smoking helps them to think better. But I strongly against smoking. First, smoking is harmfully to one’s health. People who smoke may die of different illnesses and disease. Second, smoking polluted the air. People find them impossible to work well in a room full of smoke. Third, smoking wastes of much money. It’s said that millions of dollars are spent treating diseases causing by smoking. To sum up, smoking does more harm than good. However, students should not pick up a habit of smoking.

SQ3R stand for five steps in the reading process: Survey, Question, Read, Review and Recite. The first step is survey, which helps you to predict how the author is going to say.
