When I first learn to write in English, I ran into much difficulties. The main problem was that I always thought in Chinese and tried to translate into my own language everything which I came across while I was reading. My teacher advised myself to keep a diary. I followed his advices and put down 100 words or so each day.
Soon I began to enjoy talk to myself as I was learning to express myself with simple English. One day I wrote a story and showed to my teacher. He liked it very much that he read it to the class. All said that the story was a good one. Their words were an great encouragement to me.

It is five years now since I graduate from No. 3 High School. Last Saturday, the class that I was on held a get-together, which took us a long time prepare. It was indeed not easy to get in the touch with everybody and set a well time for all of us. We all enjoyed this precious day greatly, remember the time we spent together and the people they were familiar with. It was a pity which some of us were not present as they had gone to abroad for further study, but they called back or sent greeting card from different places.

American scientists say they believe that when trees can warn each other to danger. They do it by sending out chemical into the air. The studies carried out by scientists confirmed the theory announcing by the National Science Foundation. The scientists say they find that when trees are under attack by disease or pests, near trees take the same defensive actions like the trees being attacked. At present. I am extreme happy because I am doing what I like. As a senior three student, I study hard every day and live it at the full. It feels like good to study hard with my determining classmates to fulfill our dreams. When I recalled the happy things happened to me, the experience of my receiving the scholarship in middle school topped it all. It was a time when my family is going through financial difficulties. My classmate Angel is the lovely and bright girl. She is popular with us. One day, news came whether Angel had got blood cancer. They really shocked everybody. All of the classmate and teachers got involved in raising money.
Some have called the media for help. In the end, we succeeded by raising the money for her first operation. Many people offered as much help as they can even though they did not know Angel. I was really touching by this. There is love nowhere as long as we seek for it. We will keep try until Angel cured.

Hello, Peter. I’m very grateful for your concern about my coming exam. To tell you truth, I have been busy prepare for the exam recently. Some classmates are feeling real stressed due to the exam, but I don’t take them so serious. I always learn in a relaxedmood and I’m making a great progress. Now that I had tried my best, it doesn’t matter much to me what the result is.

Last Saturday，our school had organized an activity to visit the children at a local orphanage．As one of the volunteer，I took part in it．We took many books as well many kinds of school supplies and toys for the children．They were delighted to receive the gifts．In the morning，we played some games with them when we used to play in our childhood．Then we cooked and had lunch here．In the afternoon，we gave them some performances．Before leaving the orphanage，we had photos take with them and gave them our contact details so that they could keep in touch with one another．Each of us had a happily time．We gave the children our care and help，but in return，they gave us their smiles and love．

I was taking a train to London’s Victoria Station. I had noticed that the carriage was noise and filled with people.
Before long, a train inspector comes to check out tickets. A passenger realized he couldn’t find his ticket but became quite upset. Then everyone in the carriage began searching the ticket, which was eventually found under a seat several rows from his owner. The person who found a ticket smiled with pleasure at his success.
No one in the carriage had previous spoken to or even noticed the ticket-owner before. Yet, they had so quickly offered the strangers their help. If we could show concern to others on need, the world would be a better place to live in.

Nearly five years before ,and with the help by our father, my sister and I planted some cherry tomatoes（圣女果）in our back garden, since then---for all these year---we had been allowing tomatoes to self seed where they please . As result, the plants are growing somewhere. The fruits are small in size, but juicy and taste. There are so much that we often share them with our neighbors .Although we allow tomato plants to grow in the same place year after year, but we have never had any disease or insect attack problem. Parents from the USA and China educate their children in different way. In the United States, parents usually encourage their children to development their potential. They pay attention to which their kids can do, not what they can’t. As a result, US boys and girls hope to be actors, athletes and doctors; many even wanted to become presidents when they grow up. US parents often encourage their children to take the part in all kinds of activities at school. They believe that join in these activities can make their children mature. Schoolwork is important, they think that social skills are important as well. Things in China is different. Chinese parents often tell their children to study hardly and pass exams. They think that, with a student, staying away from schoolbooks means wasting time.
