I just came back from Britain last week．I was luckily enough to be one of the students from different country to visit the UK from Feb．16 to 28．We paid a visit to a good many of places, like London, Oxford or the Lake District．I learned much about British culture and history in London, where was my favorite．I also liked Oxford, in which I saw much more old buildings．The Lake District was beautiful, but it was pity that it rained heavily when they were there．The most excited thing for me in Britain was that I make a lot of friends there．

It is known to all that we students today have to fix our attention to our lessons, so we know few of society. A holiday is the best time and the best chance to make up for that. Take a part-time job is a good form of social practice. That we have learned in books and in class can’t have the same important effect us as what we have learned through personal practice. In social practice, we can surely make a progress in both knowledge or practical ability. Beside, when we take a part-time job, we may got paid more or less to help our family. Thus, I will say senior school students should take part-time jobs in their holidays, if possibly.

This summer, I paid a visit in my hometown. What made me really sad was that it had changed a lot of.
In the past, my hometown was very beautiful, with small river  run through the village. Tall and straight trees, beautiful flowers or green grass could be seen everywhere. While playing near my home, I notice a turkey with its head under a rock. It looked stuck. My friends and I watched a while, but the bird couldn’t free it.
I ran home and told my mom, and we decided to call the bird rescue center. When the rescue workers arrived, she helped the bird out from under a rock. She checked to see that its wings were OK, or if it had any wounds or breaking bones. It was only being skinny from not eating. The worker said the turkey would be set freely if it fully recovered. If not, it would stay at the center. After leaving she thanked my mom and me for calling.

I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard my name calling. I was chosen to play a role of the heroine (女主角）in the play, what was my dream. As a shy and thin girl, I was used to be quite afraid of speaking in public. But my parents and teachers always encourage me to do so. Now I have changed great. In class, I am often the last one to stand up and answer question even if I may make some mistakes. No pains, no gains. Now I am always brave enough overcome the difficulty in front of me and have changed into a lively girl. So my experience shows that we should not be afraid of losing face and only in this way can they make progresses.

I’m sorry to occupy your precious time, and I really want to tell you anything about the problem of some people keeping too many pets nowadays. I take the problem more and more seriously for the following reason. First of all, as it is known to people, pets make loud noise that trouble residents a lot. Many owners like taking their pets to public place where they may frighten children or even bite people. Recently, as the development of the Internet, there is a kind of language calling Web language. Some people even speak Chinese mixed with English letters. The other day our class had a discussion about if we should welcome the Web language.
Forty percent of the students think it ridiculous. They argue that it does no good help people communicate, nor is it useful for learning English. Besides, it’ll make Chinese more standard and pure, finally ruining our mother tongue. However, 60% of our class is fond of it. They think it is simple, convenience and helpful in expressing them. What’s more, it may make the language more interesting.
Personally, it’s not good habit to use the Web language. It may be popular, but you may also make yourself be misunderstood.

Great changes have been taken place in my village. Ten years ago, the small and low houses, which lie on the north of a lake, produced much waste. As the result, the lake was serious polluted. Nowadays Grade 3 students are general faced with a lot of pressure, which is rather common. To reduce it, the followed suggestions may help. First of all, know exactly what lead to your pressure, then you can take measures to deal with it. Secondly, set up a goal what is not too high, in another words, don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Thirdly, find a way to relax you occasionally. For example, you can listen to music, go swim or just simply go walking. Eventually, make friend with others, for example, your classmates, your teachers, or your parents. They will understand you and come to your help when you are really in the trouble. In a word, never get yourself stuck in the pressure for “everything is possible”.

Hello, Peter. I’m very grateful for your concern about my coming exam. To tell you truth, I have been busy prepare for the exam recently. Some classmates are feeling real stressed due to the exam, but I don’t take them so serious. I always learn in a relaxed mood and I’m making a great progress. Now that I had tried my best, it doesn’t matter much to me what the result is.
