Every living thing on Earth is either a plant or an animal, right?Wrong! Many organisms(有机体)in our world are neither. Some of them float through the air,and some lie hidden in the ground. They do not need sunlight to survive, and if the weather becomes too cold, they can become inactive until conditions improve.

What are these? They are called fungi(菌类),and you see them almost every day. Many kinds of fungi seem disgusting, such as the green black things that appear on the food which are left too long in the refrigerator. But other kinds are not so bad.For example, the yeast that is used to make bread and mushrooms (蘑菇) are both fungi.

What makes fungi different from plants and animals? An animal can move around by itself.Fungi get around too,but they don't have feet, wings,or tails. They have to wait for wind or some other outside force to move them.Plants are different from fungi because they have chlorophyll(叶绿素).It helps them make food from the energy in sunlight.Fungi do not have chlorophyll.

Some fungi are bad, while others are not. Some fungi cause diseases, such as athlete's foot, which makes feet uncomfortable.Other kinds of fungi can be used to make medicies, which have saved many lives.

Fungi clean up more than wounds, though. They are the world's first recyclers.Without fungi, our world would be a mess.Since fungi cannot make their own food as plants do,they must get their food elsewhere. Many fungi get their food from dead plants. They break them down and turn them into soil. The fungi get a meal, and the world gets a housecleaning.

24.According to the passage,

A.fungi can move everywhere by themselves

B.fungi are unable to survive in cold conditions

(2)Some of my friends are in a fight. like them all equally(同样地), but they say I have to choose sides. Help!

(3)I look up to my sisters. They're both intelligent(聪明的) feel that I'll never be as good as them.

(5)I always use the computer and can't stop I feel that I'm not getting any smarter and the computer is warping(扭曲) my brain.

A. It's wonderful that you admire them. but try not to compare yourself to them. Instead of trying to be like them, just try to be the best you possible. You will find that you will be much happier when you try to be true to yourself, rather than when you try to be like someone else.

B. The only way to break a habit is to force yourself to do something different. A world of exciting and interesting activities is just waiting for you. Write a list of things you've always wanted to do, learn, make, or try. When you feel like playing it, do something else.

C. Discuss this with her. Try not to suppose that she talks about you unless you actually hear what she says. But let her know that you are unhappy when she tells secrets around you. If you feel uncomfortable talking to her in person, you could write her a note instead.

D. We often hear from kids who are laughed at about their height. They probably don't mean to hurt your feelings. There are advantages and disadvantages to being any size. You might play along and come up with a funny reply. However, if you feel hurt, try talking to a parent or teacher.

If we want to grow as people,we can't just depend on our own evaluation(评价)of how we're doing. We also need to know what other people think about our performance.Receiving feedback(反馈)from others can help us see the larger picture and show us a way forward to success. However, someone has to give that feedback, and sometimes, that someone will be you.How should you deal with this

First things first-if you notice a situation in which some feedback would be helpful, give it as soon as you can.If you wait until the matter disappears from the person's mind, they might not understand what you're trying to tell them.Take the person to a safe, comfortable place and offer your advice in private.

When you're giving feedback,it's important to keep in mind that no one likes to be told they're doing a bad job.Make sure you give an equal(相等的)amount of good feedback to balance out(平衡)anything bad.Like the saying goes, " A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down."

All good feedback shares something in common.First,it should help achieve a goal. It's less useful to tell your friends that their dish tastes "interesting" than it is to suggest adding a little salt.Feedback should also look toward the future. You can't change what's already happened, but you can prevent it from happening again.Tell your friends they should take more notes in class instead of talking about how they should have studied harder for the big history exam they failed.

Finally, don't think your suggestion is the only correct way to deal with a situation. You might even end up with some feedback on your feedback.Don't take it personally﹣﹣it can only help you give better advice next time.

(1)What does the underlined word "this" in Paragraph probably mean?

A.

Seeing the picture.

B.

Giving feedback.

You might forget to tell the person later on.

B.

Perhaps the person wants the feedback right away.

C.

Maybe the person needs time to understand your advice.

D.

If you wait to long, the person might forget what's happened.

(3)What can we infer(推断)from the underlined saying in Paragraph 3?

It's helpful to keep on giving bad feedback.

B.

It's difficult to do a good job all the time.

(4)The passage is mainly about .

A.

Animals are our friends. Sometimes they make trouble, but sometimes they can help us.And they hope to live a happy life, too. Here are two real stories from our readers.

The first story is from Ray."My cat, Tiger, hates it when I use my iPad because it takes my attention away from him. One year, I had a fall at home and was on the floor for 16 hours, During this time, I was unable to move and couldn't get to the phone to call for help. Tiger stayed by my side until he disappeared under my bed. 'What's he up to?' I wondered. To my surprise, he started to push something towards me. It was my iPad,which I didn't realize had fallen off the bed and onto the floor. He probably didn't know what it was, but he knew that it made me happy. Thanks to Tiger, I was able to communicate with my friend, Becky, who then told my doctor."

The second story is from Colin. "Years ago, my friend Julius saved a bird﹣a wild 'Mom' cockatoo(鹦鹉) from the side of the road and kept it as a pet in a big cage(笼子).It lost one of her wings, so she was unable to return to the wild. Soon, two wild cockatoos came visiting and one 'Dad' bird wanted to find his way into the cage. The 'Mom' cockatoo in the cage was soon expecting. But as she couldn't fly,'Dad' cockatoo built a home in the tree, keeping off everyone who got close to 'Mom' cockatoo. 'Baby' cockatoo would spend his days flying off with his dad, leaving his mom behind. She would sit and wait until they returned home each afternoon. The family stayed together happily."

Wechat is popular among us,but if someone deletes you or blocks(屏蔽)you on it,does it mean you've made him or her angry?

     It depends.

Maybe you have just left messages too often without much valuable information. For example, the questions are those like "how are u?""what are u doing?""do u love me??"too often. You know, people may feel bored after answering such kinds of questions time after time.

Another possible reason may be that you've sent something unpleasant to your friend or in your friend circle.I just blocked one of my middle school classmates yesterday because she was trying to sell fake goods in the friend circle, and I hate it quite much.

Some people delete the one's name from friends' list because they no longer want to see it (maybe ex﹣boyfriend or ex﹣girlfriend)and they don't want the one to see their "Moments"(动态) on WeChat (maybe they publish very private pictures or life or thoughts they don't want to share with him or her.)

So why you are blocked may depend on his or her mood or preference (喜好),and the reasons a person gets blocked are various from person to person. So I suggest you to write an email or make a phone call to that person if he or she really means a lot to you to see why he or she is dissatisfied with you,and to find out how you can make up for the case.

(1)From paragraph 3,we can know if you are blocked that is because

A.you are asking too many boring questions

B.your friend is angry

C.your friend doesn't like answering questions

D.your friend has no time to reply

B.the name

C.the private life

D.the friend circle

(4) causes of being deleted or blocked are mentioned in the passage.

A.4

B.2

C.3

D.5

(5)Which is the best title for the passage?

A.Friend Circle

B.Why Are You Blocked?

C.A Popular Way of Communication

D.How to Make Your Friend Satisfied.

If the eyes are the windows of the soul, then the body is the mirror of our feelings. If we are feeling great, we may give our body signals(信号). If we look at someone else’s body, we can often tell how they are feeling by their body signals. So reading body language signals is a great tool in daily communication.
In case(假使) you don’t think that learning how to read and use body language is important, here are some numbers for you. 7% of the information we receive is from what people actually say, and 38% of the information we receive is from the tone(语气) and the speed of their voice; while 55% of the information we receive is from their body language.
These non-verbal(非口头的) signals will help you a lot, but you still need to focus on what people are saying. If you focus too much on their body language signals, you and the person may feel uncomfortable. It is useful to be able to read people’s body language, but it is useful to learn how to send the right signals and avoid the wrong signals too. Body language may be given several interpretations. Many signals have different meanings, depending on the person and the situation. Be sure of it when you are trying to read a body language signal.
The numbers mentioned in the second paragraph are to ___________.

A.explain what body language is
B.show the importance of body language
C.tell us body language is less used than verbal language
D.tell us body language is the only tool in communication

What is the meaning of the underlined sentence in the last paragraph?

A.Body language is widely used all over the world
B.Body language can be explained in different ways.
C.It’s too hard to understand the meanings of body language
D.People have already looked through many books on body language.

According to the writer, body language is very ___________.

A.simple to learn B.negative to be used
C.hard to understand D.helpful in communication

According to the passage, which of the following is TRUE?

A.Body language is uncomfortable.
B.What people are saying is not important
C.Body language can show your emotion.
D.To send wrong signals is not body language

We can infer(推断) that the writer will most probably talk about __________ next.

A.what the wrong body language signals are
B.examples of how to understand body language correctly.
C.numbers about how many people wrongly use body language
D.an analysis (分析) of why people wrongly understand body language

From May through September,Luca and other divers are working on Nemo's Garden in the Mediterranean Sea,150 feet from the coast of Noli,Italy.Five large balloon﹣like objects, called biospheres(生物圈),hold plants such as beans and strawberries. The biospheres are filled with air and placed 20 feet below the surface."My father came up with the idea because he loves gardening very much,"Luca said.
